Privacy policy
This policy explains how Sze Chuan Food Product Co., Ltd. (Tian Fu, “we”) collects, processes and uses the personal data you give us on szechuanfood.com, in line with Taiwan’s Personal Data Protection Act (the PDPA).
What this policy covers
It covers the enquiry forms on this website: gifting, trade enquiries, OEM / ODM, stockists, the new range, general contact and direct orders.
Shops run by other platforms, such as Shopee and 7-ELEVEN’s online order service, have their own privacy policies and are not covered here.
Why we collect your data
We collect personal data only for these purposes:
- replying to your enquiries, quote requests and partnership proposals
- confirming and handling your direct order (products, quantities and delivery)
- following up on gift boxes, OEM / ODM projects or stockist questions
- keeping a record of our correspondence so we can follow up later
- preventing spam and misuse of the forms
- understanding how the website is used so we can improve it (if website analytics is switched on)
We do not sell your personal data, and we will not add you to a newsletter or marketing list unless you ask us to.
What we collect
The forms collect the following:
- every form: your name, your email address and the language of the page you used
- gifting: company name, estimated quantity, preferred delivery date, gift-box concept and notes
- trade enquiries: company name, type of business, products of interest, expected volume and your message
- OEM / ODM: company name, whether you want OEM or ODM, target market and a description of your product idea
- stockists: your area and your message
- new range and general contact: your message
- direct orders: phone number, company name, delivery address, the products and quantities you order and notes
Please do not put sensitive information, such as an ID number, payment card details or health information, in a message.
Some technical data is created automatically: server logs kept by Netlify, which hosts this website (for example IP address, browser type and the pages requested). If Google Analytics 4 is switched on, it records the pages visited and statistics such as device and browser, using cookies or similar identifiers; the website loads it only when it is switched on.
The language you choose is stored only in your own browser and is not sent to us.
Who processes it, and where
Form submissions are received and stored on our behalf by Netlify, Inc., a company in the United States that provides this website’s hosting and forms. Netlify acts as our processor, so the data you submit is transferred to, and stored in, the United States. Netlify also sends a notification to our sales mailbox.
To filter out spam, Netlify checks submissions with an automated spam-filtering service (Akismet).
Our sales mailbox is hosted by our email provider. If you place an order, we may pass on only what a carrier needs to deliver it.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries and orders for up to 24 months from the day you send the form. Records older than 24 months are deleted in a yearly clean-up. Where the law requires us to keep a record for longer, for example for accounting, we keep it for that period.
Your rights
Under Article 3 of the PDPA you may ask us to let you inquire about or review your personal data, give you a copy, supplement or correct it, stop collecting, processing or using it, or delete it.
We will reply within the time the PDPA sets. Where the law allows or requires it, we may not be able to do everything you ask, and we will tell you why.
Giving us your personal data is voluntary, but without your name and email address we cannot reply to your enquiry.
